Transportation Project Manager/Engineer at David Evans and Associates, Inc. in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description DEA's Inland Northwest Market (Spokane, WA; Coeur d'Alene, Boise and Pocatello, ID)is hiring a Transportation Project Manager / Engineer to support regional backlog for projects in Idaho, Utah, and Colorado. The backlog is for 1-2 years and the position is intended to be permanent. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter capable of delivering multidiscipline projects, performing engineering calculations and design, using specialized technical skills, experience and engineering judgment to transform concept designs into construction drawings and technical specifications. The work may include freeway, highway and roadway design, street improvements, utility plans, construction documents and all supporting documentation. Our ideal candidate would be a growing Project Manager/Engineer proficient with horizontal and vertical alignment design, erosion and sediment control design, A.D.A. requirements, utility relocations, coordination with bridge engineers and other engineering and environmental disciplines, earthwork, quantity take-offs, specifications, and engineer's estimates. Stormwater/sanitary sewer/waterline design and traffic engineering design experience, including traffic signals and illumination, is a plus. Responsibilities for our Transportation Project Manager/Engineer will include but are not limited to the following:Serve as a pursuit champion, project manager and task lead as appropriate for freeway, highway corridor, interchange planning, and local agency transportation design projectsEnsure excellence in project execution for on-time, on-budget deliverables of quality that meet or exceed the industry's standard of care.Develop, track and modify project schedules in Microsoft Project.Proficiency in design capabilities, providing design leadership and guidance to project teams and staff.As Project Manager and Task Lead, review engineering documents and deliverables for compliance with contractual requirements as part of DEA's Quality Management requirements.Adhere to firmwide tools, processes, and policies including project accounting (set up, budgeting, etc.), contracting, and quality requirements.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineering LicenseProficiency in MicroStation/InRoads and ability to participate in design and plan developmentPreferred Qualifications:Idaho, Utah, or Colorado Professional Engineering LicenseLocal experience in Idaho, Utah, or Colorado with local agencies and DOTsCivil 3D design experience7+ years of experience on transportation-related projectsBenefits:Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability and Life InsuranceHealth Savings and Lifestyle Spending Account with employer contributionSupport for continuing education and training opportunitiesPaid Time Off (PTO)/Holiday Pay401k and Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP)Flexible 9/80 (every other Friday off) work scheduleHolistic Wellbeing Program with a focus on physical, emotional, financial, career and community healthOpportunity for growth with support and mentoring to help with professional goalsPotential salary range for this position is $90,000-$120,000 depending on location and experienceTransportation Jobs with DEA:The increasing complexities of modern transportation include growing demands, aging infrastructure, rising costs, funding challenges, and environmental concerns.
