Job Details:

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Engineering-Mechanical to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a focus on HVAC and Plumbing. This role requires a seasoned professional who is capable of managing diverse teams and projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. The successful candidate will have proven experience in drafting, design, and management in a mechanical engineering environment.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the Engineering department, ensuring all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in alignment with the organization's established policies and objectives. Oversee all aspects of the mechanical design process, from conceptualization to completion. Provide technical oversight and guidance on HVAC and plumbing systems, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to all applicable standards and regulations. Drive innovation in engineering strategies and practices to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase quality. Collaborate with other department leaders to define project objectives, establish project scopes, and coordinate project resources. Review and approve all mechanical designs and modifications, ensuring they meet all requirements for quality, safety, and functionality. Ensure the engineering department's operations and practices comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Develop and manage budget for the Engineering department, including capital expenditures and labor costs. Mentor and develop engineering staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required. Advanced degree is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the engineering sector of the construction industry. Proven experience with HVAC and plumbing systems, including design, installation, and maintenance. Proficient in drafting and design, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and principles. Demonstrated ability to manage and lead diverse teams, with a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
