Nurse Navigator, RN - High Risk Breast Clinic, Part-Time at St. Luke's Health System in Meridian, Idaho, United States Job Description Overview St. Luke's Health System in Boise is seeking a Part-Time(0.4 FTE) Nurse Navigator to join our High Risk Breast Clinic team. We are looking for a great team player who functions well in a fast paced clinic environment. If you have a passion for disease prevention and health promotion, this role may be for you The RN will assist with patient intake, assessing breast cancer risk, genetic testing, and triage. Monday and Tuesday, 8 hour shifts. Responsibilities The Nurse Navigator offers medical guidance, acts as a support group, and guides patients and their families through the treatment process. + Serves as a single point of contact for patients undergoing treatment,. + Serves as a liaison between the patient and their family and the patient's network of care providers. + Educates patient on diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis. + Assists the patient in scheduling appointments, completing paperwork, or securing referrals. + Facilitates short term and/or long term interventions. + Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter. + Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. + Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications + Education: Bachelors of Nursing Degree + Experience: 2 years's of RN experience + Licenses/Certifications: Current RN License in the State of Practice Preferred Qualifications: + Previous Breast Health and Oncology experience is ideal.
