Summary: P&J is currently seeking Project Superintendents for Heavy Civil Earthwork construction opportunities. This position is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring Heavy Civil Earthwork activities and optimizing resources. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Ensuring a safe work environment during all operations and tasks • Assists project management team in the preparation of dredging and other associated workplans • Provides input and updates for the development and execution of the earthworks, milestones, work in progress and completed, construction risks, budget issues, and planning • Executes and optimizes strategies, action plans, and resources • Manages and responsible for day-to-day Heavy Civil Earthwork activities and resources • Organizes daily operations meetings to ensures operation teams are fully briefed on work scopes and understand their duties • Participates in all safety briefings and communicates them to the operation teams • Delegates specific responsibilities to supervisors and foreman, assess performance, and suggest efficiency improvement activities where needed • Provides input and advise on staffing needs • Ensures that all personnel selected for tasks are qualified and possess, where required or appropriate, relevant in-date certifications • Ensure that all project equipment is operated and deployed in accordance with its design and operating parameters • Ensures the implementation of the routine preventative maintenance program for heavy earthwork equipment. • Implementation of corrective safety and/or quality measures raised by audits and/or inspections • Tracking of labor and equipment time by phase code for daily reporting Requirements: • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Heavy Civil earthwork projects. • Possess sufficient working knowledge to assist with activities such as Heavy Civil earthwork projects. • Experience with or ability to become proficient using earthwork survey equipment • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office • Significant experience in project performance analysis • Strong client-facing and internal communication skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills • Promote cooperation and commitment within a team to achieve goals and deliverables • Extensive travel and/or relocation based upon project assignment • OSHA 30 HR Supervisory Training • Good driving record to allow operation of company owned vehicles • Strong knowledge and practical experience in hoisting and rigging preferred Accessibility: If you need an accommodation as part of the employment process please contact Human Resources at Email: recruiting@pandj.com
