JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: INVENTORY ASSOCIATE
REPORTS TO: INVENTORY CONTROL LEADER

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for all inventory responsibilities and duties listed below. Associate will also support the shipping department by pulling parts customer orders and packaging/ prepping ancillary product in accordance with established procedures for customer shipments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Kitting assembly jobs for production and noting lot trace and serial number data on BOM worksheet. Perform operation completion and material issues in the ERP system..
  • Physically stock parts from receiving area into warehouse bins and perform putaway and bin transfers in the ERP system.
  • Perform manufacturing sub-assembly and finished goods receipts and putaway into the warehouse.
  • Execute daily cycle count functions including transactions into the ERP system.
  • Investigate and/or communicate inventory balance, shortages, and discrepancies to the leader.
  • Perform unplanned inventory requests picking and issuing in ERP system.
  • Participate in yearly warehouse physical inventory event.
  • Pick parts and finished materials for daily customer shipments.
  • Ensure that all documents and material received in the warehouse are of satisfactory quality.
  • Assist shipping and receiving departments as needed and requested by supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse, including sweeping and disposing of packaging materials.
  • Frequent use and understanding of ERP system, and ability to troubleshoot and follow transactions and processes within the system.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • High school graduate. Minimum of six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, shipping orders, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, auditors and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
