The Azure Storage team delivers object storage (Azure Blob and Data Lake Storage), shared storage (Azure Files) and block storage (Azure Disks) to enable developers to build scalable, durable, and highly available cloud applications. Azure Storage persists data for container, VM and serverless workloads. These capabilities form both our public Azure Storage platform, as well as the foundation of service and product offerings across Microsoft including Office, Teams, Xbox, Fabric and many more. Through this role, you can be part of a strategic team with Microsoft-wide and tech industry-wide impact.

We are looking for customer-obsessed Senior Product Manager to help develop and manage a strategic partner ecosystem for Storage, particularly in the areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI), High Performance Computing (HPC), cloud scale analytics, primary and secondary storage, data management and Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR). This role is the perfect mix of technical architecture, business development and go-to-market (GTM) strategy.

Responsibilities

Analyze market signals, and discover and evaluate new partners. Identify new market opportunities. Collaborate with marketing and alliances to build GTM strategies. Ensure the success of key partner engagement, and grow new partner opportunities. Co-author content for customers and field sellers detailing partner solutions. Development define, and evaluate product and services. Architect and collaborate across Microsoft teams to ensure cohesive engagement. Be an effective advocate for partners through communication and collaboration with executives from the partner and Microsoft. Provide written reports inclusive of performance metrics.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in technical program or product management, software engineering, solution architecture, technical sales, technical partner management OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional / Preferred Qualifications

Proficient technical background and solid foundation in software engineering principles and architecture design. Alternatively, experience and hands on learning in technical roles. Technical architecture, business development and go-to-market strategy are key for this role. Self-motivated, self-directed, and able to independently engage and drive partner relationships. Communication and presentation skills. Partner management and business development experience. Background and subject matter expertise in one or more of these areas: Storage (cloud or on-premises), distributed systems, artificial intelligence, data science, high performance computing, or systems engineering. BA/BS or MS degree in computer science, engineering or related disciplines.

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
