Fresno Pacific University invites applications for a nursing educator with administrative experience and with expertise in medical-surgical nursing, nursing complex care, and/or ER nursing to join our nursing faculty as we develop the university's baccalaureate BSN program.

Duties:
Leadership and administration of the baccalaureate program(s)
  1. oversight development of the program curriculum
  2. maintaining program data for reporting to accreditation and licensing agencies
  3. communicating with the California BRN as necessary regarding program status and changes
  4. providing leadership with respect to meeting CCNE accreditation standards
  • Coordinating academic advising for students in the program
  • Teaching in the baccalaureate program(s) including
    1. coordination of course assignments in collaboration with the faculty team within the program
    2. evaluation of students in class settings, whether clinical, lab, or didactic - and regular communication with students regarding progress and performance in such settings
    3. maintenance of student academic records.
  • Maintenance of an active professional development agenda
  • Direct and indirect supervision of students in clinical settings as time permits (dependent on administrative and teaching time and load constraints)

Qualifications

Required:
  • a clear (unrestricted and unencumbered) and active license issued by the California BRN
  • a master's or higher degree from an accredited college or university which includes course work in nursing, education or administration
  • one year's experience as an administrator with validated performance of administrative responsibilities consistent with BRN guidelines
  • two years' experience teaching in pre-or-post-licensure registered nursing programs
  • one year's continuous, full-time or its equivalent experience providing direct patient care as a registered nurse OR
    one academic year of registered nurse level clinical teaching experience or its equivalent one of the designated nursing areas that demonstrates clinical competency
  • commitment to the Christian faith and the University's mission of Christ-centered teaching and learning and involvement in a local church.
