We are seeking
Electric Vehicle (EV) Infrastructure Project/Construction Managers
to join our Energy division to consult for a major utility in Southern California in support of their Transportation Electrification Programs. In this role you will be helping agencies/ utilities develop RFP’s for the Engineering and Construction scopes of work. You will provide advice on the best procurement method (i.e. design-build design-bid-build etc.) including decisions on pricing models (i.e. firm fixed prices T&M not to exceed etc.). This person will lead the effort from pre-design planning all the way through construction and testing/ commissioning. You will perform constructability reviews coordinate with third party entities and perform site inspections.
Responsibilities:
Support the design and construction of EV charging facilities including
Review A&E Designs for charging station infrastructure constructability checking
Electrical Panel size voltage single line
Conduit size length measurements to charging station stubs
Charging port configuration / layout
Procurement Support
Develop costs estimates as necessary
Manage program/ project budget
Ensure adherence to safety rules
Mitigate potential risk
Permit coordination and entitlement support for customer side infrastructure
Oversee construction testing and commissioning
Prepare tasks studies analysis reports (SAP) as required
Prepare and maintain a detailed Project Master Schedule and Project Plan integrating the tasks of the facility design construction as well as security IT and EH&S as required
Attend project meetings as requested by the Program Manager and/or government agencies as required
Provide weekly reports to management showing any schedule variance and potential risks
Interface with stakeholders and Program Manager as necessary to ensure all documentation requirements are understood and incorporated into the completed product
Review and approved Field Change Orders
Document Control
Quality Control and Review
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. (Master’s and P.E. are preferred)
Min. 3 years of hands-on experience in design/ construction of EV charging stations is preferred
Ability to work as a team member and communicate with multiple schedulers.
A valid driver's license and compliance with our vehicle policy is required. Candidate must be willing to travel locally to multiple projects when necessary
Excellent communicator able to clearly articulate information to customers partners and vendors
Proactive with a sharp focus on attention to detail
Ability to meet schedule and deliverable deadlines (time management)
High level of integrity and professionalism as well as a customer-focused attitude
Detail-oriented resourceful and execution focused
Strong time management and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Supervisory responsibilities as required.
$120,000 - $160,000 a year
