Systems Technology & Research, Inc. (STaR) is currently seeking a Materiel Release Coordinator to support a PEO Aviation Project Office. Applicants should have prior experience coordinating Materiel Release and Type Classification requirements IAW AR 700-3 for multiple weapon systems. The ideal candidate will be required to conduct logistics analysis and must understand logistics Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements IAW AR 700-127. Applicant will have to interface with internal and external stakeholders to include test, safety, system engineering, and quality assurance. Applicant will be required to work independently and develop processes that will ensure issues are met expeditiously.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in evaluating the system's Technical Data Package (TDP) to confirm it is complete, accurate and meets all requirements for fielding
  • Provide input for a recommendation for a full Materiel Release, partial materiel release, or conditional Materiel Release
  • Review and identify issues, risks and concerns associated with the TDP
  • Review safety documentation (i.e., Safety Assessment Report, Fault Tree Analysis, Hazard Analysis, etc.) for Army Weapon Systems
  • In support of the Materiel Release process, support the review of software safety plans and standards, working with the customer system safety and software safety organizations, working with system safety to analyze systems for hazards, ensuring the software safety requirements are implemented and tested in the software systems, working with suppliers to ensure supplier products and processes meet program software safety standards
  • Interface with customer and program subject matter experts
  • Prepare presentations, analyses, and reports for government/customer stakeholders
  • Deliver oral and written system risk and assessment presentations to peers, program management, senior leadership, customer, and regulatory agencies
Qualifications
  • BS in a technical field; experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Active DoD security clearance or the ability to obtain
  • Experience with the DoD Materiel Release process
  • Experience with Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) System Safety
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
  • Ability to communicate well and work within a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize important, completing tasks and information
