Training is at $18/hr and usually lasts about 2-3 weeks. Pay is based on production once training is successfully completed.Technicians can make $20-30/hour or more depending on production levels. There is no cap on production pay!Candidates must live in the El Paso area as there is not a relocation allowance or per diem associated with this position.Responsibilities include:Will exchange residential and commercial class electric metersUse a work order management system to capture site dataMaintain accurate records of work completedOversee the materials, equipment, vehicle and toolsMaintains and operates a company vehicle following all safety requirements and safe driving habitsWill report to TMD location in El Paso at the beginning and ending of each shift.Keep track of new and used inventoryRecording of addresses, GPS, and meter informationVerification of proper installation/transmission of new meter data by utilizing tablet PC, handheld equipment or smartphoneManages daily client communications, data and reportingCoordinates scheduling and meets quality / quantity requirementsProvides for excellence in internal and external customer service by creating a positive experience for customers, end users and communities through professional and courteous behavior and producing high quality resultsOther duties and tasks as assigned or necessary•In some cases, a technician may be asked to work evening hours to manage some commercial exchangesRequirementsMechanical aptitude is necessaryAbility to use hand held device and other equipment as required for the positionAbility to work with minimal supervisionAbility to stand on feet, bend or stoop for a prolonged period of time. The work is performed outdoors and through inclement weather as necessaryAbility to carry out duties in a safe and efficient mannerAbility to safely operate a company vehicleStable Multi-year Work HistoryAttention to DetailExcellent Attendance is an absolute requirementDEPENDABILITYPrevious electrical experience preferred but not requiredGood Communication Skills (speaking, reading and writing)Must have a valid driver's license and good driving recordMust be a minimum of 21 years of age and have a minimum of 3 years of driving experience due to insurance requirements - (this is a bona fide occupational qualification for this position)Must have work boots with steel or composite toe protectionMust have own personal Smart phoneAdditional Requirements: Background check clearance including drug screening and I-9 documentation as required by lawShift and Pay Info:After successful completion of training, technicians can earn $20-$30/hr or more depending on production.
