Job Summary:

As a Crane Operator at CellSite Solutions, you play a pivotal role in safely lifting and transporting large and heavy loads, including telecommunication shelters and equipment. Your expertise ensures that these operations are executed without causing damage to the load, property, or personnel. Serving as the frontline representative of our company, you provide crucial support to drivers, riggers, and other crew members, delivering on our commitments with excellence to achieve high customer satisfaction.
Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Operate crane equipment with precision and expertise, ensuring the safety of all personnel involved.
  • Champion our safety culture by exemplifying personal safety practices and encouraging a safety-first mindset among team members.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of slings, cables, straps, and the crane before each lifting operation, maintaining the highest standards of safety and equipment integrity.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on the crane to uphold its reliability and safety standards.
  • Adhere to company policies, safety guidelines, and procedures, ensuring compliance for both yourself and rigging personnel.
  • Maintain clear and constant communication with riggers through voice (radio), hand signals, or other means during crane operations.
  • Foster open communication regarding safety concerns, actively participating in safety meetings and programs.
  • Ensure all lifts are within equipment load limits and properly rigged to prevent accidents or damage.
  • Conduct pre-use inspections of lifting gear to verify its readiness and safety.
  • Operate crane equipment efficiently to lift materials and equipment as required for project needs.
  • Ability to travel nationwide for two-week intervals as needed.
  • Maintains logs and records of operation activities.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Proven experience as a crane operator, demonstrating proficiency in safe and efficient crane operation.
  • Strong commitment to safety, with a track record of prioritizing personal and team safety in all activities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, to effectively coordinate with riggers and other team members.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices for crane equipment.
  • Ability to adhere to company policies, safety guidelines, and procedures consistently.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of apprenticeship for mobile crane operators required.
  • Certification by the North American Crane Bureau Group or the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators is preferred.
  • Valid Class A CDL required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
  • Excellent depth perception and reaction time.
  • Visual acuity to follow hand signals, maintain logs, and inspect and maintain machinery.
  • May work in a variety of weather including extreme heat and cold.


Salary Description

$25 - $35 per hour
