Project Manager, Portal Redesign and Deployment - Military veterans preferred

Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead the comprehensive redesign and systematic expansion of our corporate web portal. Ideal candidates will possess significant experience in managing large-scale software development projects, extensive technical knowledge, and robust leadership capabilities. The selected individual will oversee the project from initial concept to full implementation, including an initial release phase, ensuring a smooth progression at each phase.

Key Responsibilities: Design and Architecture:

Direct the full-scale redesign and development of the corporate web portal, ensuring integration and coherence.

Project Management:

Employ both traditional and Agile methodologies to manage the project from start to finish. Lead interdisciplinary teams to ensure project milestones are met on time.

Technical Guidance:

Provide strong technical leadership and align software designs with business goals.

Stakeholder Communication:

Liaise with executive management to secure project endorsement and ensure strategic alignment. Maintain open and transparent communication with all stakeholders regarding project developments, potential risks, and expected outcomes.

Release Oversight:

Oversee the phased launch of the portal, managing from an interim release to the full version. Schedule deployments while maintaining quality standards and minimizing disruption.

Risk Management:

Proactively identify project risks and dependencies, creating strategies to mitigate potential issues.

Agile Leadership:

Promote Agile practices, leading continuous improvement and fostering efficient team dynamics.

Technical Tools Proficiency:

Utilize project management tools efficiently for tracking progress and resource management.

Quality and Testing:

Collaborate closely with QA and DevOps teams to ensure comprehensive testing and successful deployment.

Continuous Improvement:

Handle post-launch activities, including user feedback, performance monitoring, and ongoing enhancements.

Required Qualifications: Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years' experience in project or program management within technological environments. Proven expertise in leading significant web portal development projects. Solid understanding of Agile methodologies; Agile certification is beneficial. Mastery of project management software, methodologies, and best practices. Outstanding leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience with Content Management Systems. Familiarity with DevOps practices and the software development life cycle. Previous experience in the financial services sector, particularly in wealth management or broker-dealer operations, is preferred.
