Description: (Position is primarily remote but requires residence in California)Job Summary:Coordinates research grant and contract submissions for all regions. Negotiates and coordinates legal agreements with universities, pharmaceutical companies, and foundations. Coordinates and supports the Institutional Review Board (IRB) for the protection of human subjects, assuring compliance with federal regulations.Essential Responsibilities:Edits, negotiates, and prepares legal agreements between Kaiser Permanente and various universities, pharmaceutical companies, and foundations.Ensures that budgets are appropriate, and scientific and human subjects reviews have been conducted.Reviews, coordinates, and submits all externally-funded research proposals from all regions to the appropriate funding agencies.Coordinates support for the Institutional Review Board, reviewing and signing approval memos to investigators, providing information to Board members to support the review process, ensuring timely review of all pertinent items, and reviewing meeting minutes.Ensures appropriate information, reports and legal documentation are provided to meet organizational and funding agency requirements and needs.Manages the department database which tracks Program wide research activities, including funding source, investigators, budget awards, account codes, project status, etc.Manages internal department budgets, and federal and non-federal grants and contracts.Acts as primary liaison for financial and administrative matters to regional and interregional KP offices; federal, state and private funding agencies; outside consultants, contractors and collaboration academic and other institutions.Provides consultation to physicians at Northern California Region medical facilities regarding research proposal development, submission and execution. Basic Qualifications:ExperienceMinimum five (5) years of experience in research administration.EducationBachelors degree in business or related field., OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.License, Certification, RegistrationN/AAdditional Requirements:Proficiency in computer word processing, spreadsheet, and database program.Ability to interpret and apply federal regulations and organizational policies and procedures relative to the administration of research activities.Strong personnel management and interpersonal skills required.Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.Preferred Qualifications:CIP Cert preferred.Masters degree preferred.Notes:Senior Research Administrator (Durational), R&E Division of Clinician Research (primarily remote & required residence in Cali) ERAP 2k Primary Location: California,Pasadena,S.
