School Based Services

Fred Finch School Based Services are a full-service therapy program designed to help youth in elementary through high school to learn to succeed in school, improve their grades, attendance and interpersonal relationships with their peers and families.

Fred Finch Youth & Family Services staff work closely with teachers, school staff, caregivers, parents, and participants to improve participants' functioning at school and home. Each student is evaluated independently and a customized action plan is developed for addressing each of the known barriers to success. Youth enrolled at the schools below in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties who have full-scope Medi-Cal are eligible for services.

We are currently seeking: Clinical Supervisor

What You Will Do
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of Clinicians and/or other direct care staff. In addition, the Clinical Supervisor is responsible for carrying a caseload (as needed) and providing high quality outpatient therapeutic services to youth, young adults, and families.

Shifts Available
Full time; M-F 8:00-4:30, school hours/days; working in-person and on school sites, home and community as needed.

Salary RangeIn accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is between $43.99 and $71.66 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for $5000 sign on incentive.

What You Bring to The Table (requirements):

  1. M.A. Degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited college or university.
  2. Licensed as a CA LCSW/MFT clinician for two (2) years or able to meet this requirement within six (6) months if supervising staff who are accruing hours toward licensure from the CA Board of Behavioral Services.
  3. Experience with or knowledge of designing, supervising, monitoring, changing, and discontinuing individualized behavioral interventions.
  4. Must be certified to conduct a CANS/ANSA assessment within 90 days of employment if the work assignment is in a County program that requires CANS/ANSA certification.
  5. Demonstrated cultural responsiveness in working with diverse families and communities.
  6. Demonstrated understanding of the developmental milestones of children, youth, or young adults to provide to provide care, treatment and services.
  7. Demonstrated ability to utilize de-escalation techniques that align with the trauma informed care model as part of intervention strategy for working with participants in crisis who are responding to triggers/stressors and/or demonstrating early indicators of distress.
  8. Clean driving record and a current CA Driver's License or ability to obtain within 10 days after hire.
  9. Must have access to dependable transportation available and personal car insurance, unless using agency vehicle.
  10. Basic computer and keyboarding competence with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred
  1. One year post-graduate school experience with program target population (Example: intellectually disabled, homeless, teens or young adults, SED).
  2. One year experience with program modality (example: school-based, residential, mobile/community-based, assertive community treatment, wraparound, etc.).
  3. Demonstrated ability to assess, triage and organize work.
  4. Experience in using a strength-based, culturally competent approach to supervision, participant and community service.
  5. Experience with relevant evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed approaches).
  6. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse families and communities.
  7. Experience in effectively using behavioral, crisis management and family/individual/group therapy skills.
  8. Fluency in prevailing language(s) of the community services.
