This position includes daily cleaning and stocking of ambulances, cleaning of garage/wash-bay/supply room, and issuance of equipment and supplies to the crew members. The VST works indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions with considerable independence in the normal performance of duties.RequirementsROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure vehicles and equipment for transport readinessMaintain cleanliness of station Receives stocks and distributes a wide variety of goods and materials used in most typical work environments plus the specialized environments of EMS.Evaluates equipment and materials requests to assure suitability of request. Fills and arranges the distribution of inventory and materials used in a typical EMS environment.Performs records management functions associated with inventory tracking.Conducts parts and materials inventory and use including historical tracking for the purpose of ensuring proper inventory and supply levels at all times. Applies efficient storage methods including allocations of proper bins or other storage spaces and security of stock.Cleans, sanitizes, and returns non-disposable equipment to service. Cleans and details ambulances as directed. Provides effective communication with leadership.Ability to operation communication devices; cell phone, computer tabletAbility to travel and work between all locations.Maintain cleanliness of station QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSGraduation From High School or equivalent19 years old at time of hire for insurance purposesValid driver's licenseAbility to drive company vehicles with a clean driving recordSuccessful completion of a state sponsored EVOC course or ability to complete company provided course in 30 daysAbility to work independently with little direct supervision Ability to complete assigned tasks efficiently and effectively Ability to pass a lift test of 150 - 200 poundsAbility to pass a pre-employment drug testAbility to pass a pre-employment background checkAbility to work around machinery and moving partsAbility to work outdoors during all weather conditions Ability to speak and write English PREFERRED SKILLSExcellent customer service skillsKnowledge of routine vehicle care and maintenance Problem solvingSalary Description $16.00
