Director of Supply Chain - Military veterans preferred

Mrs. Clark’s Foods, a leader in condiment, sauce, and juice production, is searching for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our team. Mrs. Clark’s Foods is conveniently located in Ankeny, just 15 minutes outside the Iowa state capitol of Des Moines. The

Director of Supply Chain

oversees and directs the supply chain functions of planning, procurement, warehousing and transportation to ensure the plant achieves targeted business goals.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies to meet organizational goals and objectives

· Lead and manage a team of supply chain professionals, including departments such as purchasing, logistics, warehousing. Continually provide guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of supply chain operations

· Collaborate with key stakeholders to align supply chain activities with overall business objectives

· Analyze market trends and industry best practices to identify opportunities for improvement

· Work closely with production, sales, and finance teams to ensure seamless coordination across the supply chain

· Sets clear expectations, directions, and priorities for purchasing, logistics, and warehouse teams

· Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand and plan production accordingly

· Streamline and optimize logistics and distribution processes for timely and cost-effective delivery

· Coordinate with transportation providers to ensure efficient and reliable shipment of goods

· The position will oversee the purchasing of material, inventory management, warehousing, system data management, transportation and related logistics to execute safe, efficient and cost-effective storage and distribution of goods

Qualifications:

· 5 years of management experience

· Strong understanding of procurement, logistics, and inventory management

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

· Good leadership, project management, and organizational skills with the ability to work-cross functionally

· Proven capability to motivate and coach staff towards achieving high-quality results

· Analyze & interpret materials management data & logically deduce the intended outcome to support production. Strong background in material management systems required

· Strong customer interfacing skills

· Self-starter with high energy level, understands high level objectives, and translates into action plan for assigned team

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
