Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager (SPM) is responsible for managing, overseeing and directing multiple commercial construction projects from conception to completion. The SPM will work closely with clients, owners, architects, and subcontractors to develop strong professional and lasting relationships. The SPM will also coordinate with and direct Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers as they are assigned to projects the SPM is managing.

Marketing and Business Development

The Senior Project Manager will:
  • Participate as directed in the business development and project pursuit processes
  • Manage scheduling efforts to ensure the appropriate milestones are set and the owner's goals and objectives are met
  • Engage existing clients on future opportunities
  • Participate in the estimating/budgeting process
  • Update the job cost estimate and schedule of values upon approval of a change
Other Skills and Abilities

The Senior Project Manager will also be expected to:
  • Direct and oversee multiple project closeout process to ensure that all contractual obligations are met within the timeframes outlined in the contract and contract documents
  • Review the contract and contract documents for specific requirements and develop a log of items that need to be tracked. Coordinate with and direct others with specific needs pertaining to completing these items within the required timeframes
  • Be constantly aware of project closeout and be able to identify and mitigate risks as they are presented that could negatively impact any aspect of project closeout
  • Prepare, submit, and obtain required approvals for monthly payment applications in accordance with contract requirements
Experience
  • BS in Construction Management, or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of Project Manager experience required


Special Requirements: Must be able to pass controlled substance tests prior to and at all times during employment.
