Salary Range: $60K to $80K/annually Location: Washington, DC (hybrid). Candidate must have the right to work in the U.S. Reports To: Senior Project Manager, U.S. Policy General Overview The FPF U.S. Policy Team seeks a project manager to provide oversight and administrative support for an anticipated five-year multi-institution U.S. Government grant focused on scientific infrastructure to support learning research. The project manager will work with senior management and other policy, project, and operations staff to contribute to the development and execution of project deliverables within the broader context of evolving priorities and strategic outputs and outcomes. An ideal candidate will have experience managing government grants and navigating related administrative processes. The role is based in the United States, with a preference for candidates in Washington, DC. Key Responsibilities: Project Development and Management – 75% Manage the progression of all aspects of the anticipated grant, in coordination with the project lead and with oversight from the Principal Investigator (PI), including: Developing and managing project plans, updating timelines, maintaining administrative and financial project data, and tracking progress on priorities; Facilitating progress from contributing team members and contractors and maintaining document control; Leading interim and post-project briefs and analysis, measuring ongoing project performance, and identifying areas for improvement. Procuring and managing task-specific and ongoing contracted support, including regular contract drafting and negotiation in coordination with members of the Operations team. Monitoring spending and expenditures on the grant, working with the operations team as needed. Lead the development of grant reports and stakeholder updates to the funder and prime, respectively. Community and Cross-Team Coordination and Support – 20% Ensure that relevant policy experts across the team are aware of any impact of the project on their issue area and help enable collaboration; Manage ongoing relationship with prime grant recipient, as well as with project partners, subject matter experts, and other team members; Work with FPF operations professionals, including our events, grants, and communications teams, to coordinate timelines and advance project activities; Internal Support – 5% Assist with and, where useful, recommend and implement practices, templates, policies, and tools to expand and mature FPF capabilities; Continuously help with the review and assessment of FPF’s overall strategy, vision, and mission execution. What We’re Looking For: 3-5 years of project management experience with a focus on managing U.S. government-funded projects, grants, and/or contracts; Demonstrated experience in coordinating projects across multiple people, teams, and/or institutions. Preference for experience in digital project management and productivity software, including Gsuite, Zoom, Monday.com, and Salesforce; Flexibility to work across time zones and with remote team members; Skills needed to achieve success in key areas of responsibility.
