CEI Practice Leader

S&ME is seeking a seasoned professional in Construction Engineering and Inspections (CEI) to spearhead our regional CEI practice across Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. Join S&ME and lead our CEI practice to new heights, while fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. This role can be based in our offices located in Cincinnati, Columbus, Lexington, Indianapolis, New Albany, or Evansville.

Your Day-to-Day:

As the CEI Practice Leader, you will drive the growth and success of our CEI team by:

  • Leading a team of project managers and inspectors, fostering partnerships with state departments of transportation and other consulting firms.
  • Managing existing contracts and overseeing transportation projects.
  • Promoting teamwork and inclusivity, challenging and nurturing staff to excel.
  • Developing and executing growth strategies with a comprehensive approach.
  • Understanding and adapting to market dynamics to ensure quality service delivery and identify business opportunities.
  • Championing strategic projects and collaborating with regional and service line leadership.
  • Achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue growth, employee retention, audit scores, and client satisfaction.

What You Bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field
  • 15+ years of project and program management-related experience with KYTC, INDOT, ODOT, or another state DOT
  • Strong marketing and business development skills in addition to contacts/relationships within the practice
  • Proven track record of success winning and delivering opportunities for multiple clients within the market segment
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration in a relevant state is a plus
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Design-Build Professional certification (DBIA) certifications are a plus
