**JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS**

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40**Shift Time:** 8:00am-4:30pm; limited remote work assignment possible

**JOB SUMMARY:**

Coordinates purchasing program activities through procurement of materials, supplies and equipment, ensures contract compliance, assesses need and availability, determines vendor sources, and reviews requisitions. Maintains appropriate inventory levels of pharmaceutical products used by the department including monitoring the min/max levels. Manages product backorders with wholesalers/vendors and communicates pertinent issues to Director and Clinical Coordinator. Coordinates the Pharmacy annual physical inventory. Orders daily from wholesaler and direct from manufacturers and issues any required purchasing orders.

Coordinates the 340b purchasing process through split billing software; responsible for maintaining the accuracy of 340b and GPO accumulators.

Coordinates inventory and credits for indigent care patient assistance program doses reimbursed by manufacturer. Maintains medication mapping between electronic health record (EHR) and Pharmogistics Carousel software. Maintains accuracy of NDCs purchased between EHR and wholesaler. Manages any vendor recalls for the department and assures compliance with departmental regulatory policies. Coordinates the processing of our expired meds with our Reverse Pharmaceutical Distributor. Interviews sales representatives and forwards pertinent information to Director or Clinical Coordinator.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**

One to three year experience in a data analytics, Preferred.

One year experience in a purchasing related area, Preferred.

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, related field or equivalency, Preferred.

State of Louisiana Pharmacy Technician License, Preferred.

Procurement experience for a public entity, retail or in a hospital setting, preferred.

Knowledge and experience with the 340B program preferred, but not required.

Completion of the Apexus 340B University On Demand modules within 90 days after hire is required.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS:**

Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 50 pounds is required.

Constant (67%-100%) hearing, seeing, reaching, talking

Frequently (34%-66%) - handling/feeling, carrying, pushing/pulling, stooping

Occasionally (1%-33%) lifting, balancing
