Summary/Objective

Under moderate supervision, performs a variety of operational functions in support of departmental and Bank goals and objectives.

Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Performs L&G reviews and submits payments to fulfill court orders.
  • Resolves exceptions in Account Reconciliation/Positive Pay.
  • Reviews and processes DNE and Reclamations requests and debits customer’s accounts to minimize potential loss for the Bank.
  • Performs error resolution and associated adjustments and handles check fraud claims.
  • Performs ODS related account maintenance/update, research, refunds, charge-off, recoveries including tracking and reporting.
  • Processes NSFs.
  • Processes Chargebacks.
  • Processes Foreign Collections.
  • Reviews Stops and Holds placed by the bank for quality assurance.
  • Processes Unposted/ ACH Warehouse Transactions, NOCs, and Pre-Notifications.
  • Performs Subpoena Research and submits it to the appropriate agency.
  • Creates reporting and tracking information on various processes including but not limited to Volume Reporting, IOLTA, MAHT Reports, etc.
  • Processes Research request, SSI, Accuity and Confirmation Verifications and process Manual (VODs).
  • Scans/Images and indexes documents as requested/needed.
  • Process Bank by mail transactions using teller capture and Mailroom duties.

Other Duties

  • Complies with all policies and procedures as applied to the Bank's BSA/AML policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Substitutes for absent employees.
  • Stays informed of relevant compliance laws and regulations. Helps to ensure processes and procedures adhere to compliance laws and regulations.

Skills/Abilities

  • Solid knowledge of departmental responsibilities.
  • Solid knowledge of the Bank’s products and services.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and telephone etiquette.
  • Proficient in the use of all types of standard office equipment.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office with strong data entry skills.
  • Proficient in use of JHA core and other systems/applications.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently as required.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in retail or banking required.

Salary Grade = 4

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Office environment with job duties conducted via telephone, face to face meetings, and on the computer.

Physical Demands

This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and opening cabinets. This position requires bending or standing, as necessary.

Travel

Travel may be required for this position.
