The TRADOC G-2's mission is to understand, visualize, describe, deliver & assess the OE to reduce risk and prevent surprise; today and into the future 2035+. TRADOC G-2 is the designated Lead for Core Function #13 Operational Environment; the process of developing, verifying, validating, accrediting, and providing OE products and services represents an authoritative, validated OE contextual baseline for TRADOC users and operational forces in the areas of training and training development; education; leader development; concept and doctrine development; and capabilities development, integration, and evaluation.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • The primary job responsibilities of the M&S Intelligence Capabilities Requirements Manager are to work in coordination with the Director, TRADOC G2 M&S Office to develop integration points for Threat/OE products and data into existing live, virtual, and constructive platforms with focus on the STE as the target training and mission rehearsal capability for the operational, institutional, and self-development training domains.
  • Apply thought leadership and oversee capability integration to enhance OE delivery to M&S training services at the PoN.
  • Provide military and program analysis in response to the technical direction of the TRADOC G-2 and – as required – participate in Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental, and Multinational (JIIM), Department of the Army, and Intelligence Community Enterprise sponsored forums related to training and leadership development.
  • Responsible for the integration of concepts, doctrine, and technical/materiel solutions to address new and innovative M&S delivery processes for training to include adaptive learning technologies.
  • Assess impact and develop plans to incorporate new and innovative capabilities, to include recommendations for funding sources, staffing solutions, and enterprise integration.
  • Provide future M&S OE related observations, lessons learned and support toward enriching OE research, recommendations, and solutions.
  • Provide project-level support for STE integration of OE related capabilities and data, building on previously developed delivery systems of the OE.
  • Lead integrated process teams within the TRADOC G2 that are stood up to address new capabilities.
  • Conduct staff actions for the Director through preparation of decision and information papers and staff action summaries.
  • Communicate frequently with internal and external stakeholders regarding TRADOC G2 M&S intelligence capabilities.

Background Requirements

  • 8+ years of strong experience with Army capability management, DAU, FCC. and Army Futures Command with focus on the Intelligence Warfighting Function.
  • Bachelor's degree; Master's preferred.
  • The individual in this position must have strong technical knowledge of live, virtual, and constructive systems to include, but not limited to Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC); Mission Command Information Systems (MCS); One World Terrain (OWT); and the Synthetic Training Environment (STE) Instrumentation System (IS) (Training Simulation Service (TSS), Training Management Tool (TMT).
  • Develop TRADOC G2 M&S capability requirements documents to allow the government client to staff with multiple organizations that communicate program related service information and guidance regarding current and future capability integration concepts for M&S.
  • Excellent team player with strong collaboration skills to lead cross functional teams on multi-team integration projects, strong sense of commitment and responsibility.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; experience building scalable, distributed, high availability services; enjoy technical challenges and constantly striving to improve existing services, systems, and techniques.

Clearance Requirements

  • Secret; TS/SCI eligible
