Job Description
The tablet support position supports clients of the MidAmerican systems, specifically rugged tablets and laptops used in field environment that utilize LAN, WiFi, and cellular connectivity including hardware/software setup and support, configuration and troubleshooting of network and cellular connections.
Responsibilities
Under direct supervision, provide accurate, timely, and known solutions to end user rugged tablets/laptops and networking problems of basic to moderately complex nature to ensure end-user productivity.
Perform restorative and maintenance actions either remotely or at the end users location to resolve problems using basic troubleshooting and technical skills. Respond to situations where standard procedures to resolve software or network problems.
Maintain accurate information and data regarding end-user issues within the tracking system and according to policies and standards.
Establish a working relationship and understanding of dedicated support area to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with clients and management.
Perform other tasks as requested or assigned.
Qualifications
Pursuing an associates degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
A minimum of two years additional directly related technical experience is preferred.
Basic hands-on experience in a technical support role that includes some desktop PC support responsibilities.
Show basic competency in troubleshooting desktop device conflicts, connectivity issues, and application issues in a Windows operating system.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well independently and with others.
A+ Certification preferred.
