Job Description:

Director, Operations Technical Training

Entegris is seeking a Director of Operations Technical Training to lead the development and execution of training strategy and roadmap to build world-class operational talent capabilities for our Global Operations, Supply Chain and Quality organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for strategically creating and implementing training activities for our global operations organization, focusing on operations employees across various disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business leaders, Talent Management & Development, EHSS, Quality, CTO Office, and Divisional teams to assess learning and development gaps within the organization and develop and execute effective, capability-enhancing training strategies. 

  • Drive the development of training and development strategies aligned with business objectives.

  • Conduct competency model assessments to identify skill gaps and training needs.

  • Develop scalable learning strategies tailored to the diverse needs of our operations employees.

  • Operationalize multi-generational training plans that align with business needs and enhance engagement within business units.

  • Lead the design of contemporary learning experiences within operations, leveraging the latest technology and adult learning theories to improve and enhance Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Engagement performance metrics.

  • Lead strategy and deployment of operational and technical training curriculum for the Entegris Plant Leadership Accelerator Program.

  • Partner with operations domain experts to ensure training content is relevant and effective.

  • Drive Entegris-level global operations training cohesion, best practice sharing, LMS and training effectiveness

  • Expand the Technical Training database by sourcing courses from internal business units, universities, consultants, and industry professional organizations.

  • Play a leadership role in the global Entegris Learning Council and establish Operations Training committee to drive architecture, governance, and best practice sharing within divisions.

  • Own Entegris’ Sum Total Learning Management Platform for operations and partner with cross-functional LMS team to develop an effective, engaging ‘one-stop-shop’ LMS experience for our global teams.

  • Drive standardization of direct labor roles, training content development and certification requirements within Operations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in training and development, with a focus on technical training for operations and supply chain organizations; master’s degree preferred.

  • Proven track record of designing, implementing, and scaling successful training programs that address business needs and drive employee engagement.

  • Strong understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design principles.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience leading teams and driving change initiatives in a matrix environment.

  • Proficiency in Sum Total learning management systems and other contemporary training technology platforms.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, stakeholder management and change-management skills

  • Bias for action and solutions, ability to drive team work to completion.

  • Capacity to manage ambiguity and competing priorities.

  • Able to travel as necessary globally.
