Software Quality Assurance Tester - Military veterans preferred

Serve as QA Analyst supporting a team engaged in developing web-based applications, encompassing complex applications and systems. The ideal candidate for this position meets the requirements of the position, is personable, and can work in a cross-functional team. Excellent oral and written communications skills are a necessity. Responsibilities:

• Develop test strategies in coordination with team members and system owners
• Determine optimal testing approach and tools for target applications and systems
• Execute, document, and report on tests, communicate results to the team and system owners
• Engage proactively to ensure testing approach is sound and provides meaningful outputs.
• Implement tests in an Agile methodology, including acceptance criteria and iterative testing within a sprint
• Develop automated test scripts using Selenium and Cucumber

Must be flexible, able to work in a highly collaborative environment, and work independently and collaboratively as needed. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and superior interpersonal skills are a must.

• 4+ years of experience in using automation tools for testing systems and applications, writing and executing test scripts.
• Ability to use a wide variety of opensource technologies and tools.
• Experience with one or more tools such as GitHub Issues/GitLab Issues, Selenium, Cucumber, LoadRunner, Postman, JMeter, Blazemeter, SoapUI, OWASP Zap GUI, tools like Sahi, etc.
• Understanding and experience developing test automation strategies
• Thorough knowledge of Agile development including acceptance criteria
• Experience collaborating with systems and IT operations.
• Comfort with rapidly changing applications and environments.
• Strong grasp of test automation tools.
• A strong focus on business outcomes.
• Comfort with collaboration, open communication, and reaching across functional borders

Desired Qualifications

• Government experience as a contractor
• Experience with cloud automation DevOps, Infrastructure Planning
• Ability to work independently and in an awesome team setting
• Experience or exposure with automation testing tools

EDUCATION

• Undergraduate Degree is highly desired but can be substituted with 2 additional years of experience

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Strong communication skills to correspond with clients or business analysts while gathering technical system specifications.
• Must be eligible to receive a Public Trust Clearance
