Overview

Sev1Tech is seeking a SME r to support the Program Executive Office (PEO) Manpower, Logistics, and Business Solutions (MLB) which manages the Logistics (LOG) Information Technology (IT) portfolio. This portfolio is composed of 300+ afloat and ashore IT systems/applications with 150,000+ users across all Naval Systems Commands (SYSCOMs) and Naval Operational Forces (NOF) to include ships, carriers, submarines, USN/USMC aviation squadrons, and Naval Expeditionary Forces. The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is a joint user of LOG IT capabilities and is part of the program requirements. LOG IT enables essential business operations for various capability groups.

Subject Matter Expert (SME) with experience and knowledge related to Supply and an understanding of interface testing with maintenance and other DoD Business Partners. Will be responsible for supporting the test and evaluation team’s supply system testing. Incumbent must be able to qualify as a DoD Cybersecurity Workforce member and maintain a SECRET clearance.

Job duties would include, but are not limited to:

  • Working with business analysts to provide identification and insight into Supply policies and processes.
  • Decomposing Naval Supply Requirements.
  • Providing in-depth knowledge of, and ability to troubleshoot issues within, complex information systems used to implement supply management systems utilized by the DON to manage Operational Supply activities.
  • Providing in-depth understanding of interface requirements and relationships with other Naval Supply automated information systems.
  • Providing in-depth knowledge of associated naval supply readiness as outline in the NAVSUP P485.
  • Author and maintain software test cases and procedures in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Conduct test design activities to identify and create test cases(positive and negative) traceable to system requirements.
  • Conduct static and dynamic testing at all software testing levels to include integration, functional, system, and acceptance.
  • Accurately record and report defects found during test events and trace to resolution.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, sponsors, and customers to determine acceptance criteria and coordinate certification test events with end user


Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
  • MUST have Current US DoD Interim OR Secret level clearance.
  • Must be able to qualify as a DoD Cybersecurity Workforce member and maintain a SECRET clearance.
  • Knowledge of testing business application and enterprise information systems.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of Naval Supply policies and procedures.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of Relational Supply, Barcode Supply and Integrated Barcode Supply. This knowledge must include the ability to identify and troubleshoot application and data driven anomalies causing failures.
  • Knowledge of naval Financial and Quality controls used by the Operational Forces.
  • Ability to capture test data, analyze test results and clearly communicate (orally and written) findings and/or deficiencies.
  • Ability to coordinate and collaborate with members of a software development or systems engineering team to accomplish project team goals and objectives.
