DescriptionThe Manager, Manufacturing Sustaining Engineering is responsible for managing the Sustaining Engineering team to identify and address manufacturing issues. Duties include hiring and training qualified engineering staff, as well as formulating and executing strategies, in coordination with other managers.Responsibilities Implement process improvements to increase throughput, reduce COGS/LOH, improve quality of product, improve safety, and facilitate lean manufacturing.Process Validation of commercial and custom production equipment.Investigate production and yield issues and help develop resolutions.Hire, train, and supervise engineering staff members; foster internal team development.Improve efficiency and sustainability of processes and product designs and to reduce waste.Answer questions and resolve issues brought forth by the engineering team members, serving as the engineering leader and technical expert.Develop and implement processes, policies, standards, and procedures for the engineering department.Collaborate cross-functionally to develop new systems and streamline process flows to support the growth of the organization.Regular tracking of engineering projects to facilitate timely completion.Check and confirm the accuracy of the work performed and the methods used by engineering staff.Propose and oversee budgets, timelines, and resources for engineering projects.Spearhead research and development initiatives to identify opportunities for new projects and improved processes.Communicate and collaborate with other managers, internal cross-functional teams, suppliers, and consultants.Prepare and deliver engineering-related presentations, report on KPIs, and summarize data for both internal and external customers.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree or related equivalent experience.Minimum 6 years' related medical device experience.Minimum 1 year of management experience; 2 years preferred.Expert knowledge of engineering, keen analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and oral communication.Strong knowledge of medical device manufacturing, Quality Management System, and regulations.Proficient in engineering applications such as SolidWorks and Minitab.Understanding of medical device manufacturing requirements.Computer skills including MS; Word, Excel, and Project.Inari Medical offers competitive health and wealth benefits for our employees. The base pay range for this position is $130,000 - $155,000. A range of factors, including location, skills, and experience, will be considered. Actual compensation may vary.
