Cloud Solution Architect - Military veterans preferred

Title: Cloud Solutions Architect\Integrator (SA\SI) Customer: DHS Clearance: US Citizenship Location: Washington, DC / Hybrid Project Overview: Senior Solutions Architect\Integrator (SA\SI) shall be responsible for, but not limited to the full system architecture, infrastructure, design, operations, and maintenance. This individual shall plan, research, and continually evaluate tools and architecture applying engineering, hardware, and software design theories, principles, and experience to maintaining and continually enhancing mission-critical systems. The SA\SI will also guide the infrastructure team on system monitoring, performance, reporting, and log analysis to maintain efficient interface operation and component integration. The Senior Solutions Architect\Integrator is expected to be an expert in the following topics: Influence and lead overall solution architecture activities, and ensure target architecture is executed properly per the program vision and requirements Work closely with stakeholders, BAs, Agile leads, and solution architects to iterative design, plan, and execute target architecture Data architecture and design including collection, transformation, storage, and consumption Ensure that technologies are appropriately and correctly implemented and applied Verbal, written, and spoken communication skills targeting a full spectrum of potential IT audiences DevSecOps principles and practices, i.e., IaC, CI/CD, Automation, 12-Factor App, ephemeral infrastructure AWS Cloud networking and application best practices, including container orchestration and serverless architecture High availability, resilient, and low latency system architecture Securing data at rest and in transit Relational Databases, i.e., Oracle and/or PostgreSQL Data exchange formats and protocols, i.e., JSON, XML, HTTP. REST, GraphQL, SOAP Data exchange, message queuing, data streaming, and ETL processes, i.e., ActiveMQ, Kafka, JMS, Nifi Data indexing, search, and analytics, i.e., Elasticsearch, Spark, Databricks, Delta Lake Required Skills/Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related fields. Preferred a Master s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related fields. Ten (10) or more years of relevant experience in an Enterprise IT environment leading major systems development and integration efforts across mixed platforms. Five (5) or more years of relevant experience working in a US Government environment. Preferred experience of five (5) or more years in a Federal Law Enforcement environment including demonstrated experience with case management and system architecture
