Minimum Salary: $140000

Maximum Salary: $190000

Core Responsibilities
  • Manage various functions of rate case proceedings (e.g., coordinating the development of filings, managing discovery, ensuring confidential materials are properly handled, organizing stakeholder and settlement meetings).
  • Providing training to Company employees on the rate case process and preparing for rate cases.
  • Document current rate case processes and develop process improvements.
  • Provide administrative support for other regulatory proceedings.
  • Act as the administrative liaison between the Energy and Environmental Law group and regulatory agencies.
  • Track Energy and Environmental Law's regulatory filings.
  • Act as the business lead for the CaseWorks matter management system.
  • May assist in drafting materials (e.g. discovery responses, testimony sections, requests for non-disclosure).
  • Perform other tasks and assignments as required.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree and At least 8 years a minimum of 8 years of experience. or
  • Master's Degree and At least 6 years 6 years of relevant work experience.
Relevant Work Experience
  • Experience in project management. Required
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills. Required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and handle internal and external customers professionally. Required
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment. Required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint. Required
  • Ability to learn new software applications and databases. Required
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills. Required
  • Ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks and projects with competing priorities and deadlines. Required
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information. Required
  • Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels. Required
  • Experience in utility operations. Preferred

  • Driver's License Required

  • Sit or stand to answer a phone for the duration of the workday

Other Physical Demands
  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
  • Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed.
  • Must be willing and able to travel between New York City and Albany on a regular basis, via automobile or train. Other travel may also be required.
  • May be required to carry handouts, laptop computer, etc. to meetings.
