Job Details Job Location Mity Lite Inc - Orem, UT Description MityLite is an award-winning manufacturer of professionally designed highly durable event furniture. Trusted worldwide, MityLite products are found primarily in banquet, meeting, and event venues in the hospitality, education, government, and church markets. MityLite is looking to hire an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team. The Machinist supports the Tooling/Machine Design Team and the Maintenance Department by machining new parts for both new and existing machines and refurbishing old parts for existing machines. This is accomplished through set up, programing, and operation of various machines including manual and CNC milling machines, lathes, and surface grinders to produce high-quality tight tolerance parts according to engineering specifications. Duties: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine best processes and plans to produce finished parts Program, set up, and operate manual and CNC machines to perform precision machine operations Monitor machine operation and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards Inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, bore gauges, and calipers, to ensure parts meet required specifications Manage priority, status, and timelines of machine shop projects communicating frequently with team members Manage inventory of tools and cutters (endmills/drill bits) and other machine shop supplies requesting replenishment when needed. Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on machines to ensure optimal performance Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area Qualifications: The following are qualifications necessary for a person to be considered for this position. Previous experience as a machinist Experience with CNC Programing Capable of working with 3D models creating tool paths in CAM software (Mastercam Preferred) Good working knowledge of materials, proper cutter selection, tool rpm, dept of cut, feed rate, use of coolants and lubricants etc. Proficiency in operating precision measuring instruments Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Physical Requirements: This job requires: Both standing and sitting (60% standing /40% sitting) Occasional, lifting, bending, stooping, and kneeling Occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
