Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Preconstruction Director based in Honolulu, HI, to lead and enhance preconstruction processes within the commercial mechanical construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a rich background in design, engineering, estimating, and sales, and be adept at using industry-standard software such as Revit, Trimble, and AutoBid. This role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar capacity, preferably with a major mechanical contractor.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Oversee and refine all preconstruction efforts to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness. Design and Engineering Oversight: Lead the design and engineering phases, ensuring all projects meet the highest technical standards. Cost Estimation: Develop accurate cost models and budgets for various projects, from initial concept through to final bids. Client Engagement: Maintain and enhance relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded throughout the preconstruction process. Software Proficiency: Utilize Revit, Trimble, and AutoBid to optimize project planning and execution. Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive and coordinated effort across all phases of preconstruction. Local Expertise: Strong preference for candidates currently residing in Honolulu, or willing to relocate.

Professional Experience:

Minimum of 10 years in a preconstruction role within the mechanical construction sector. Educational Background: A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Industry Knowledge: Prior experience with leading mechanical contractor. Software Skills: Proficiency in Revit, Trimble, AutoBid, and other relevant construction management tools. Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, capable of engaging effectively with various stakeholders. Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a proven track record of solving complex preconstruction challenges.
