Position Overview: As a Project Engineer/Project Manager’s Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our project management team. Your expertise will help us deliver successful projects on time and within budget. Candidates MUST demonstrate prior experience in the construction industry. What you will bring to the table: Must have at least 3+ years of experience in a similar role. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Proficiency in handling and submitting construction submittals is essential. Experienced in reviewing Architectural plans, RFIs and ASIs on construction plans to identify and address necessary modification. Skilled in drafting and processing change orders. Ability to identify product alternatives that optimize cost without compromising quality. Brings experience from working alongside General Contractors. Prior experience working with Project Manager’s to achieve project goals and completion. Ability to foster a collaborative and positive working relationship with all team members. Key Responsibilities: Read and Interpret Plans : Proficiently analyze architectural plans and flooring layouts. Submittals Handling: Manage and submit project-related documents efficiently. Change Orders: Draft and process change orders as needed. Value Engineering: Identify cost-effective product alternatives. Collaborate with Project Mangers: Assist in project completion and coordination. Maintain Positive Relationships: Foster cooperation among team members. Project Organization: Help organize and manage various project aspects. Financial Projections: Contribute to financial forecasting. Budget Building: Assist in creating project budgets. Timely Product Delivery: Ensure products arrive on schedule and within budget. Customer Relations: Maintain positive interactions with clients. Project Documentation: Familiarity with specifications, submittals, and shop drawings. Coordination with Superintendents: Review scope, schedules, and submittals. Mathematical Skills: Strong proficiency. Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills. Pressure Handling: Ability to work well under tight deadlines. Team Player: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Build Relationships: Establish rapport with General Contractors and associates.
