We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Associate to join our client's logistics team in Smithfield, NC. The Shipping Associate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely shipment of orders, maintaining inventory levels, and supporting overall warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

Schedule: 1 week day (employee's choice) + Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Perks: Pay increases at 30 and 60 days

Responsibilities:
Order Processing:
-Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to company standards and customer specifications.
-Verify and inspect outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.

Shipping Coordination:
-Generate and print shipping labels, packing slips, and other necessary documentation.
-Schedule and coordinate pickups with carriers and couriers.
-Track shipments and resolve any issues related to delivery delays or discrepancies.

Inventory Management:
-Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy by conducting regular counts and audits.
-Report any discrepancies or damage to inventory to the supervisor promptly.
-Organize and maintain the warehouse in a clean and orderly fashion.

Equipment Operation:
-Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
-Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any malfunctions.

Team Collaboration:
-Work closely with the receiving, inventory, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations.
-Provide support in other areas of the warehouse as needed.

Compliance and Safety:
-Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
-Follow all regulatory requirements related to shipping and handling of goods.

Working hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Skills:
-Basic computer skills and familiarity with shipping software (e.g., FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip).
-Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
-Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
-Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
-Forklift certification is a plus.

High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
-Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse role preferred.
