POSITION SUMMARY:

The HUD Asset Manager plays a critical role in managing a segment of a substantial loan portfolio, comprising over 470 loans. This position involves a wide array of responsibilities spanning daily escrow account monitoring, coordination with HUD representatives, processing mortgage payments, maintaining loan files, and conducting monthly monitoring of various asset management reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Servicing a portion of a 470+ loan portfolio* Daily monitoring of escrow accounts (taxes, insurance, replacement reserves and repairs); working with Escrow Manager to procure any necessary information* Working directly with HUD Account Representative to review and approve Replacement Reserve, Repair and other miscellaneous client requests* Vouchering, posting and distributing Replacement Reserve and Repair money to clients* Generating, printing and distributing monthly mortgage invoices* Monthly processing of mortgage payments; receiving, posting to CS system and depositing with financial institution* Maintaining and creating loan files and filing any necessary correspondence, loan statements and payment back-up, etc.* Monthly monitoring of various Asset Management reports to include Insurance Ticker, 10-year PCNA, Facility License expirations, Lease expiration, Repair, Debt Service, Health Survey?s, HUD?s bi-monthly Risk Surveillance Report, etc.* Complete Action Plans and Risk Notifications as required by HUD* Assist with Quarterly Audits of client files* Monitoring REAC physical inspection reports* Procuring State Health Surveys and completing data entry in the Access database. Review any ?Red Flags? with the Senior Risk Mitigation Analyst.* Procuring quarterly and year-end financial statements from clients and completing data entry in the Access database. Review any ?Red Flags? with the Senior Risk Mitigation Analyst* Assisting clients with any issues that may arise during the life of their loan; building rapport with clients* Working with the attorneys, closing coordinator and other departments to coordinate certain pre- and post-closing functions* Prepare post closing package for document custodian and GNMA; input GNMA information into GNMA Portal* Prepare loan input forms for new loans using closing documents and inputting loan information into CS system* Miscellaneous duties as requested from both internal and external clients.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

* Skilled working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook* Excellent customer service and organizational skills* Effective knowledge of loan documentation and loan servicing/asset management a plus* General knowledge of Multi-Family lending helpful
