With over 40 years of experience, we have built a strong reputation in the industry. We are currently seeking a talented Field Sales Engineer to join our San Diego team. As a Field Sales Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with a defined set of accounts, driving sales growth and developing new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of your assigned accounts, their end products, and the technical requirements that influence their design decisions.
  • Promote and design in semiconductor/electronic solutions into your account base.
  • Provide comprehensive support to your accounts throughout the entire product lifecycle, from concept to production.
  • Possess a strong understanding of Bager's product portfolio and effectively communicate the value proposition of these products to clients.
  • Responsively address the technical needs of your accounts.
  • Collaborate with Bager's principals, offering them insights and strategies to engage effectively with your customers, while providing detailed feedback on open opportunities and accurate forecasts on current business.
  • Work closely with our distribution channel partners.
  • Territory is San Diego County.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in technical sales or engineering.
  • Strong technical background

Hard Requirements

  • A degree in engineering, Electrical or Computer Science preferred. This is a highly technical position and the on boarding requires a ton of system level and electrical engineering reading.
  • Residing within San Diego County. This is a field position, meaning your job will be to visit customer in person within the greater San Diego region.

Travel

  • Mainly within the greater San Diego area for face-to-face meetings with clients.
  • During the first year, there will be a requirement to travel to Irvine once to twice a week depending on your level of experience.

Compensation

  • The compensation package will be competitive with similar sales positions, dependent on the candidate's background and level of experience. The first couple years will be salary based moving to a commission only structure once your commissions outpace your salary.
