A leading mining company is actively seeking a Large Projects Manager for their operations across North America. This role requires significant experience in managing large-scale projects, ideally within the mining or related heavy industries.
Role Description:
-Lead complex, large-scale projects through all stages, from initiation to construction and commissioning.
-Requires a visionary approach, embracing curiosity, adept at handling uncertainty, and focused on urgent execution.
Primary Responsibilities:
-Project Concept Development and Initiation: Define and initiate projects, conduct assessments, develop preliminary business cases.
-Project Planning: Responsible for technology selection, engineering processes, stakeholder analysis, obtaining permits, and detailed planning.
-Project Execution: Manage construction and commissioning, ensuring safety, timeline adherence, and budget compliance.
Job Requirements
Key Qualifications:
Education: Technical or business degree; PMP certification essential.
Experience: Minimum 10 years in managing large capital projects ($50M+), preferably in industrial, material processing, and handling.
Language Skills: Must be fluent in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
Leadership, Responsibility, Initiative: Self-motivated, independently driven, with a strong sense of urgency and project progression.
Travel Requirement: Availability for domestic and international travel.
