Job Description
This role entails overseeing product management for a top tractor manufacturer in North Carolina. Responsibilities include creating and organizing product training, crafting sales pitches, and defining product specifications. The Product Manager will work with various departments to coordinate training, product launches, and strategies to promote products effectively. Additionally, the Product Manager will oversee the product testing center, conduct product research and analysis concerning competitors, identify market needs and opportunities, and contribute to product innovation and development initiatives.

Position Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform market analysis for products
- Conduct STP and SWOT analyses for current and new product offerings, comparing them directly with competitors
- Utilize STP and SWOT analysis to devise new product launch plans
- Develop launch plan milestones and communicate with stakeholders to assign due dates that will be used to monitor progress
- Assesses market and competitive pricing, providing recommendations based on research findings
- Work alongside the marketing team to craft strategies for promoting products, including participation in farm and trade shows
- Designs and delivers training programs for internal teams and dealers, focusing on products' competitive advantages
- Act as a liaison between Regional Managers and Business Managers about product launch strategy and talking points
- Engage with the sales and marketing teams to conduct ongoing research and analysis on competitors' product and market conditions, offering insights and recommendations
- Addresses dealer and customer concerns by referring them to appropriate resources within the company
- Oversee the development and management of the product testing center
- Identify competitive advantages and utilize them to create sales strategies and training materials
- Shapes long-term strategies for the product lineup and participates in product development efforts
- Drive product activity by preparing various product documents such as Market Requirement Documents and product use cases
- Provides recommendations for pricing strategies and product policies
- Clearly defines and communicates product specifications and packaging requirements
- Work alongside cross-functional teams
- Monitors product inventory and collaborates with purchasing to maintain sufficient product availability

Job Requirements

Job Requirements
- Bachelor"s degree in Engineering or a related field
- 8-10 years of experience in product management or a relevant role, with a focus on tractors or heavy equipment
- Strong research and analytical capacity (STP and SWOT)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Product Manager
- SAP experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Capable of making decisions in a dynamic environment where priorities are rapidly changing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to create and facilitate large projects and trainings
- Exceptional collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively across various departments within an organization
