Position Title: ASSET MANAGER

Location: Cincinnati - Cincinnati, OH

Description:

Position Summary

A management professional with 5 years of related industry experience who will be responsible for spearheading major initiatives in asset management, strategic planning and business development to achieve utilization, revenue, market share and profit goals and other tangible contributions in achieving macro business objectives. A key function of this position is to maintain acceptable levels of time and dollar utilization of Rental Assets.

Essential Function Statement(s)

  • Responsible to ensure that the rental equipment is properly tracked and accounted for and
    that field is aware of standards. Provide insight for the development of rental policies
    and procedures.
  • Develop and manage annual fleet plan budgets for STR CAPEX and disposals.
  • Create equipment orders based off of budgeted CAPEX spend and work with Sales Coordination for the placing of orders with strategic suppliers.
  • Consult with senior management to develop objectives and goals and create an action plan to achieve optimal financial utilization of rental assets.
  • Assists in the development of pricing strategies for equipment rental fleet.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with strategic suppliers.
  • Work with other departments to develop effective strategies to increase sales and gross profit related to contractor equipment.
  • Develop strong relationships with our OEM’s while representing Equipment Depot in the most professional manner possible.
  • Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, analyzing business developments and monitoring market and competitor trends. Use these tools to assist in the Budget process.
  • Organize the weekly cycle counting and end of year physical inventory of all equipment including new, rental and used. Work with branches to make sure staffing is adequate for the day of the count Reconcile final count results working with all branches until all assets are accounted for. Work with accounting on any discrepancies.
  • Submit regular reports on the equipment, including recommended adds/deletes, return on
    investment, and utilization.
  • Assist the sales organization in order fulfillment.
  • Assist the sales organization and Used Equipment department, by providing information
    on units targeted for sale. Develop a strategy to accomplish this.
  • Communicate equipment industry/company trends and needs to management
  • Manage inventory levels and maintain acceptable aged inventory goals.
  • Communicate with other Regions on STR / NEW / USED needs.
  • Determine Reserves for aged equipment.


Qualifications:

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience: 5+ years proven asset management experience in a multi-location operation with a large span of control; rental/equipment pricing strategies, Industry outside sales and branch management preferred.

Computer Skills: Highly knowledgeable with Microsoft Office products (Excel,..)
Other Requirements: Exceptional data analytics, organizational and team building skills. Prior experience in the construction rental industry with emphasis on the aerial and material handling segments preferred. Strong communication skills.
