**DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:**

The department mission is to execute a system of business practices to conduct strategic planning and identify budget (capacity & resources) required to meet product demand. The department drives deployment of business plans targeted to meet strategic objectives and product campaign execution from seed to release of bulk drug substance, including maintaining the 18-month plan in the ERP system to drive direct material requirements so to provide adequate supply of materials to make medicine per plan.

**POSITION OVERVIEW:**

The Driver/Manufacturing Logistics Coordinator (MLC) is responsible for the receipt, transport, and delivery of packages within the Framingham campus. The driver/MLC is responsible for loading/unloading and delivering materials to and from Sanofi manufacturing sites and CMOs while adhering to all Sanofi standard operating procedures and applicable regulatory requirements. In the capacity of a Manufacturing Logistics Coordinator, the Driver/MCL supports plant operations and raw material requirements per the production schedule. The MLC reviews material requirements and requests, receives, stores, and transfers-controlled materials compliant with cGMP practices. The Driver/MLC operates autonomously within an assigned area to coordinate material requirements and schedules.

**Key responsibilities** include but are not limited to:

* Operates temperature-controlled trucks to transport raw material, intermediates, drug substance, and indirect material to manufacturing sites within the campus.

* Operates all manual and automated material handling equipment including Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) to transport controlled and indirect materials within a GMP warehouse environment.

* Loads and unloads trucks in a safe manner compliant with company, local, state, and federal regulations.

* Unpacks and checks goods received against transport orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods.

* Responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy by performing timely, accurate, and appropriate system transactions to match every physical material movement. Troubleshoots discrepancies and supports formal root cause analysis

* Pick, pack, ship material orders according to specific standard operating procedures (SOP's)

* Prepare validated active and passive shipping containers utilizing dry ice, gel bricks, coolers, and other cold chain technologies.

* Physically receive material from other Sanofi sites, parcel carriers, couriers, LTL trucks.

* Checks receipts against Bill of Lading (BOL) and Stock Transport Orders (STO) for accuracy noting any damage or discrepancies, ability to notify appropriate management personnel.

* Load carts, pallets, and trucks for product movement.

* Accurately complete and maintain truck logs and other administrative requirements.

* Pick, de-trash, sanitize, and delivers materials to manufacturing.

* Works with network partners and suppliers to troubleshoot order discrepancies.

* Order and deliver indirect supplies and materials per approved supplier lists.

* Collect, store, and transport manufacturing samples, maintaining cold chain custody procedures.

* May handle hazardous, temperature, and time sensitive materials.

* May coordinate hazardous waste removal.

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:**

An ongoing commitment to conducting our global business according to the highest legal and ethical standards, and to continually pursue excellence in the development and delivery of all of our products and services. This includes:

* Current Class A or B commercial driver's license with air brake Endorsement.

* Must maintain all eligibility requirements for DOT program including medical card and clean driving record.

* Must maintain the eligibility requirements to operate a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) within the Sanofi network.

* High school diploma / GED

* Basic math and PC skills

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

**PREFERRED** **QUALIFICATIONS:**

* Experience within the Bio-Pharma Industry and with cGXP requirements

* Experience operating Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) within a warehouse Setting

* Class A or B commercial driver's license with hazmat and air brake Endorsements

* Experience using MRP/ERP systems.

**SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS:**

* Requires standing and walking up to 80% of day.

* Requires working in cold rooms and -20 freezers

* Requires material handling activities which could include lifting, bending, stretching, pushing, and pulling.

* Requires working in an industrial manufacturing environment including gowning.

* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
