Job Description
Commercial Insurance Account Manager
This position is responsible for managing client accounts, overseeing both new and renewal business while ensuring exceptional service and fostering strong client relationships. Regular client interactions are a significant aspect of the role, necessitating strong communication skills. The ability to collaborate within a team framework to deliver exemplary service to clients is essential. Attention to detail and consistency are also key attributes for success in this position.
Responsibilities
Analyze client data including, but not limited to: loss runs, coverage details, applications, and financial documents
Provide swift response to policy and coverage questions
Manage requests for additional information between the carriers and clients, related to both new business submissions and renewals for all lines of insurance.
Manage the generation of certificates of insurance and Auto ID cards
Manage the renewal timeline process
Research and resolve complicated client issues
Prepare new and renewal business proposals and supporting exhibits
Develop and maintain working relationships with assigned clients
Consistently improve working knowledge of agency management system, including billing
Identify uncovered exposures and round out coverage
Qualifications/Requirements
Experience with Middle Market to Large accounts
Knowledge of all lines of business
Reliable and consistent work ethic
High-level interpersonal, communication (verbal &written), analytical, presentation, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong time management and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines
High attention to detail
Track record of working effectively in team-oriented environments
Problem solving abilities, including critical thinking, research, quantitative skills, creativity
Minimum of 8-10 years of insurance industry experience; related professional designations preferred
Must hold a valid P&C license and complete required certification hours to maintain licensure; relevant management experience highly desired
