The Pharmacy Material Coordinator procures and maintains pharmaceutical supply inventories, the distribution of stock, updating of all systems to ensure prompt payments to vendors, and accurate documentation of inventory movement. Other duties include but are not limited to:Monitoring reports and available publications for insight to shortages and determines appropriate substitute items.Providing information to technicians while carrying out inventory control function.Maintaining the proper and appropriate professional and ethical relationship with vendor representatives, conducts business according to established principles and guidelines.The ideal caregiver is someone who:Has strong customer service skills and an engaging, positive attitude.Has a willingness to learn.Is self-motivated.Has organizational and multitasking skills.At Cleveland Clinic, we know what matters most. Responsibilities: Ensures continuous supplies are maintained with little or no interruption.Implements, manages, and maintains inventory systems to order, control, expedite, and inventory supplies to enhance the fiscal management of the department.Other duties as assigned.Education: Associate's degree required.High School diploma/GED and three years of experience in similar role may substitute the degree requirement.Certifications:Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) verified through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).Upon hire, registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy. Registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy is required within 6 months. Complexity of Work:Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Work Experience: Must have work history of using a computer.Offset: High School diploma/GED and 3 years of experience in similar role may offset degree.Physical Requirements:Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periodsAbility to operate a computer and other office equipmentAbility to communicate and exchange accurate informationAbility to travel throughout the hospital system and, in some locations, off-siteMust have own transportation due to travel to multiple sites.Personal Protective Equipment:Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.The policy of Cleveland Clinic Health System and its system hospitals (Cleveland Clinic Health System) is to provide equal opportunity to all of our caregivers and applicants for employment in our tobacco free and drug free environment.
