Job Description

Wentworth Institute of Technology is seeking a Mental Health Counselor to join our team.

This licensed, clinical position provides clinical, educational, and outreach services specifically relevant to the needs of a diverse student body. Services include clinical intake assessments, triage, ongoing therapy, and crisis intervention. This Mental Health Counselor will report directly to the Associate Director of Counseling Services.

In addition, this position partners regularly with the Department of Athletics to provide programs and services that address the needs of student athletes. Experience with equity in mental health, cultural concerns, identity development, and mental health diagnosis and treatment is required.

Requirements:

  • Independently licensed clinician in the state of Massachusetts (LICSW or LMHC) OR License eligible.
  • Experience providing short-term therapy, crisis intervention, safety assessments, outreach, and case management.
  • Strong knowledge of CBT, DBT, and exposure therapy is preferred. Knowledge and experience providing outreach, education, and support to a diverse group of young adults with a lens of equity and inclusion.
