Responsibilities

•Recommend and perform preventive dental care treatments such as flossing, fillings, sealants, x-rays, and fluoride applications, and cosmetic dental services such as whitening when indicated
•Manage dental hygienists, associate dentists, dental assistants, and administrative staff, and communicate with support staff regarding patient care plans
•Assess the patients' overall dental health and look for presence of dental diseases, by thoroughly examining the patients' teeth using diagnostic tools, procedures, and instruments
•Determine and diagnose oral diseases and provide appropriate treatment for common dental problems including root canals, surgical extractions, cleanings, and restoration
•Show patients how to use recommended devices for orthodontics and dental appliances, such as retainers and dentures and educate on the importance of good oral hygiene

Qualifications

•2+ years of experience
•CPR, BLS, and NPI certifications are required
•Great communication skills and bedside manner are vital
•Should be computer proficient
•DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) or DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree from an ADA accredited dental school, and a Bachelor's degree are required
•Up-to-date knowledge of dental standards and guidelines, public health standards, and dental medicine trends and advances is desired
