Description

The Nurse Manager has administrative and clinical responsibility for the smooth functioning of The Health Center's daily operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

" Provides nursing care in a manner consistent with client guidelines.

" Overall supervision of Patient Care Associate, Health Coach and Licensed Practical Nurse. In collaboration with the Site Coordinator/ Practice Manager supervise Patient Service Representatives

" Monitors, coordinates, and adjusts the staffing assignments of the satellite health center's clinical areas to meet patients' needs effectively.

" Monitors staff attendance, punctuality, performance, and training needs to assure the proper level of support for staff development and the optimal functioning of each clinical area. Assists in setting goals and identifying appropriate training for improving performance.

" Has primary responsibility, along with the Lead Clinician, to develop appropriate protocols.

" Oversees inventory control and maintains adequate levels of supplies, equipment, and instruments in patient care areas; makes arrangements for repairs as necessary. Review supply requests with Lead Clinicians on a periodic basis.

" Assists with productivity reports on a weekly basis. Provides monthly procedure reports.

" Provides lunch coverage for LPN.

" Works with staff to address patient complaints and manages patient flow so that patient satisfaction is always maintained as highest priority.

" Participates in huddles and unit meetings and attends or represents the health Center at other meetings on and off-site as needed.

" Regularly consults with the Lead Clinicians and other Program Managers (Billing, Medical Records, etc.) regarding the performance of the clinical staff to assure compliance with polices, procedures and objectives of the health Center.

" Through coordination with medical providers and Patient Care Coordinators, ensures clinical practice compliance with Managed Care/HMO, and Federal and State guidelines.

" Participates in the Quality Management Program, Joint Commission, Infection prevention Control and Manager's planning and operational activities including design and execution of performance improvement projects and involvement in Joint Commission survey preparation activities as needed.

" Ensure Telehealth visits are scheduled accordingly based on Health Center's protocol.

" Monitor Electronic Medical Record staff buckets and weekly provider schedule has been scrubbed by PCA

" Completes Incident Reports (including Sentinel Events) and appropriate forms in accordance with the Health Center's policy.

Requirements

Registered Nurse associate or bachelor's Degree preferred.

Graduate of an accredited Nursing School.

New York State Licensed Registered Nurse.

Previously related experience with a minimum of two years Pediatric, OB/GYN, and Adult Medicine experience.

Minimum of two years' experience in a supervisory/management position.

Demonstrates satisfactory interpersonal relationship and evidence of good professional conduct.

BCLS certification required.

Infection Control certificate required.

Child Abuse certificate required.

Bilingual a plus.

Must be able to float throughout all five sites as needed

Salary: $1005,000-$110,000 depending on experience
