Inventory Control Analyst at St. Luke's Health System in Meridian, Idaho, United States Job Description Overview St. Luke's Health System in Meridian, ID is seeking an Inventory Control Analyst to join our Consolidated Service Center team. Unit/Position Summary Under limited supervision, the Inventory Control Analyst will be responsible for implementing, analyzing and monitoring procedures to ensure that the proper inventory is in all warehouse locations. The position will assist management in the development and implementation of formal programs to audit all areas related to inventory movement for integrity and accuracy. Responsibilities Under limited supervision, the Inventory Control Analyst will be responsible for implementing, analyzing and monitoring procedures to ensure that the proper inventory is in all warehouse locations. The position will assist management in the development and implementation of formal programs to audit all areas related to inventory movement for integrity and accuracy. - Optimizes the organization's supply chain and inventory options by developing, implementing, and monitoring all key functions related to inventory transactions to assure that they are accurate and timely. Undertakes analysis on inventory levels, aging, and obsolescence. - Performs thorough research and documents inventory discrepancies using all available resources to identify root causes and provide possible solutions. Scrutinizes and analyzes inventory issues and applies LEAN Six Sigma methods to prepare recommendations. - Reviews and sets optimal inventory levels using system generated demand plans and best in class reorder methods and tools. Reviews forecasted demand with appropriate stakeholders and makes adjustments based on forecast accuracy and localized service area climate(s). - Incorporates inventory planning for highly seasonal and/or 'in-demand' products and ensures that CSC inventory settings are updated accordingly. Proactively re-balances excess inventory to ensure sufficient supply, improve inventory utilization, and minimize obsolescence. - Responsible for analyzing data and generating monthly dashboards/reports to ensure inventory accuracy. Analyzes supply and demand imbalances and facilitates resolution throughout the supply chain. - Coordinates a cycle count program in a perpetual inventory environment to identify necessary recounts and processes to be monitored and provide regular reports on results. Coordinates the efforts of cycle counts to identify and correct discrepancies on items at the location level as needed. Implement processes that effectively reduce inventory loss, excess and obsolescence. - Facilitates process driven conversations with internal and external stakeholders. Works with key personnel to effectively implement process improvements to operational procedures to proactively optimize overall location and item level accuracy and maintain the highest possible productivity levels. - Monitors Consolidated Service Center key performance indicators (KPIs) and drives improvement activities. Supports the CSC leadership team to identify areas of opportunity for improved inventory management practices and network optimization. - Participates in the planning and forecasting of medical and non-medical inventory level based on historical trends, reoccurring buys, seasonal forecasts, purchase trends, and current inventory levels. - Assists in the development of strategies to maximize opportunities and mitigate risk. Works closely with leadership to manage inventory driven costs and optimize overall inventory spend and levels. - Subject matter expert handling complex situations referring only the most complex to higher level leadership. Acts as a resource for lower level employees. - Performs other duties as assigned.
