**Position Summary**

Dawes Rigging and Crane Rental, Inc- Madison, WI is seeking a self-motivated professional to provide leadership and supervision in the role of Dispatcher particularly in the divisions of cranes and trucking. This position will be responsible for prioritizing tasks, meeting customer expectations, and assuring compliance with all government regulations. This is a full-time, exempt position. **Essential Functions**

* Keep records, logs, and schedules of the calls they make and/or receive, the vehicles and staff they monitor and control, and the actions they take.

* Maintain information on each call and then prepare a detailed report on all activities occurring during their shifts.

* Ensure on time delivery of cranes and equipment to job sites.

* Secure permits.

* Ensure company drivers maintain compliance with OSHA and safety regulations.

* Dispatcher will also assist in other activities and duties as assigned by Manager.

**Skills and Experience Requirements**

* Experienced in trucking and dispatch functions is preferred.

* Experience with cranes or other heavy construction equipment is preferred.

* Knowledge of the permitting process for oversize loads and documentation is preferred.

* Proficient with Microsoft Office and enterprise computer applications.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Strong organizational and time management skills.

* Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

* Must be able to work 40 hours a week and overtime as needed.

* Able to sit for longs periods of time.

* Able to use phone, computer and other office equipment.
