Position: Clinical Research Coordinator Location: Columbia, South Carolina

Responsibilities: As a Clinical Research Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in advancing pediatric healthcare through clinical research. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Patient Recruitment: Actively recruit and enroll eligible patients into clinical trials, ensuring adherence to protocol requirements and ethical standards.
  2. Study Coordination: Coordinate all aspects of clinical trial activities, including scheduling patient visits, obtaining informed consent, managing study documentation and coordinating/overseeing onsite monitoring visits.
  3. Data Management: Maintain Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems, ensuring accurate and timely entry of study data and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  4. Communication: Serve as a liaison between study participants, healthcare professionals, and study sponsors, providing clear and compassionate communication throughout the research process.
  5. Adverse Event Reporting: Promptly report and document adverse events, following established procedures and ensuring patient safety.
  6. On-Site Presence: Be available and attend clinical cases and planned study visits as well as assist in gaining informed consent as necessary, performing assessments and ensuring protocol compliance, particularly in the Columbia, South Carolina area.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., nursing, biology, life sciences)
  • Previous experience in clinical research coordination with medical devices (preferably in a pediatric setting)
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational skills
  • Familiarity with Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems preferred
  • Ability to travel locally for on-site study visits within Columbia, South Carolina and surrounding areas
