When will you work?

  • This is a full time position working Monday - Friday in Bakersfield, CA.
What you'll do:
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians compounding of preparations, filling and labeling of prescriptions and prepackaging of bulk medications
  • Communicate with providers for the purpose of receiving new prescription orders, clarification of prescriptions or refill authorizations, perform final check on prescriptions, counsel patients and answer questions from patients and providers, and oversee compounding
  • Consistently meet standards for accuracy, pharmaceutical elegance and potency
  • Adhere to USP and guidelines and Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested by management, pharmacist in charge or shift leader
Who you are:
  • Understand USP 795, USP 797, USP 800, State Board of Pharmacy regulations, Section 503A of the Federal FD&C
  • Possess excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Solid interpersonal skills including the ability to remain calm, professional, diplomatic, and positive
  • Experienced in mentoring and developing a team of Pharmacists
  • Ability to think and act independently while knowing when to include others in a decision making process
  • Have strong organization and work prioritization skills, in a dynamic, fast paced and timeline driven environment with shifting priorities
  • Analytical abilities are strong and coupled with creative problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Willing to obtain Nevada pharmacist license within 90 days of being in the role
  • Willingness and ability to be licensed as a registered pharmacist in multiple states
What you've done:
  • Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy (Pharm. D.)
  • Kept current License to practice as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of California
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a regulated environment or equivalent experience required
