Role and Responsibilities:

The Inventory Control/ Shipping/Receiving person will maintain warehouse inventory levels, coordinate material delivery, shipping and receiving manage waste/recycling, and handle other miscellaneous material handling tasks.

Job Duties:

  • Ensures adequate inventory of materials and finished goods in accord with inventory protocols.
  • Conducts inventory analysis to solve inventory issues.
  • Implements and improves inventory control procedures.
  • Coordinates and manages physical inventory counts.
  • Coordinates the flow of materials through the inputs from Planning and Scheduling.
  • Configures warehouse spaces as dictated by forecast of inbound materials, customer and production needs.
  • Creates and implements strategies to mitigate inventory excess.
  • Implement and maintain the Quantum ERP system within the warehouse to track inventory levels.
  • Prepares and provides production team with inventory and materials necessary to complete jobs per Planning and Scheduling.
  • Follows all mandated security procedures and process requirements.
  • Manages the waste and recycling program implemented.
  • Operates dock truck, hand jacks, powered jacks.
  • Assists with other miscellaneous material handling/inventory tasks and/or projects (i.e., setting up racking).
  • Manage warehouse functions.
  • Prepare documentation for delivery, shipping and receiving as needed.
  • Set-up and maintain documentation process for daily outbound deliveries and inbound receiving log, verifying merchandise received matches purchase orders.
  • Complete damage merchandise/discrepancy paperwork and prepare damaged merchandise for transfer.
  • Select forwarder/carrier by examining product dimensions and weight for each order and identify and evaluate any special needs for each load.
  • Determine the most efficient forwarder for shipment completion.
  • Coordinate all jobsite and truckload deliveries with consignee.
  • May be required to take on additional tasks and projects as needed.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • 3-5 years' work experience in inventory control, shipping/receiving warehouse operations.
  • Ability to maintain accurate counts of a wide variety of materials.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Must possess self-starting qualities and a sense of urgency.
  • Must possess exceptional organizational skills.
  • Oral & written communication and interpersonal skills are needed
  • Willingness to be a team member.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in Oracle and D365 nice to have.
  • Experience using shipping websites and portals (ie; UPS).

Physical Demands:

  • Operates, dock truck, hand jacks, powered jacks in a safe manner.
  • Work is conducted in a standing position and requires repetitive walking, bending, kneeling, twisting, stooping and lifting of materials.
  • Environment is noisy and may require ear protection.
  • Work may require overtime, including weekends, to meet deadlines.

Anticipated Salary Range: $22.00 to $26.50/hour for qualified applicants.

The above pay range represents Quantum's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Pay within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, knowledge/education, skills/abilities, internal equity, and budgetary considerations.
