In this role, you will be a member of our rapidly growing project & design management team. The team standard is to 'manage each project like we own it.' We are unique in that we supplement all of our program and project management services with in-house discipline leads and individual experts across all disciplines as required by the program from project engineers, cost managers, business analysts to and project scheduling, in a fully integrated package. Responsibilities

  • Provides on-site inspection of work.
  • Inspects materials, installation, layout of work, and evaluates its acceptability.
  • Determines and notifies contractor of unacceptable material or work.
  • Suspends work with Construction Contracts Managers (CCM) approval.
  • Performs or supervises quality control testing.
  • May conduct weekly progress meetings with contractor.
  • Maintains thorough and accurate records.
  • Verifies quantities for contractors monthly pay estimate.
  • Keeps as-built drawings current.
  • Prepares Force Account documentation.
  • Provides interdepartmental support.
  • Assists survey crew as requested.
  • Prepares documents and information for arbitration / legal action as requested.
  • Acts as liaison between Construction Contracts Manager, Design, Operations, Tenants and outside agencies as directed.
  • Reviews drawings and specifications of proposed projects for consistency with good construction practice, clarity, and internal consistency.


Qualifications

  • Experience in electrical, all disciplines with focus on low voltage systems including but limited to fire alarm/detection systems and security systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering, surveying, and construction terminology as well as standard practices and procedures.
  • Experience reading and interpreting plans and specifications involving many technical disciplines.
  • Knowledge of asphalt or road work inspection.
  • Valid Oregon or Washington State driver’s license.
  • Supervisor’s license issued by the State of Oregon and or an “A” level State of Oregon Electrical Inspector’s Certificate.
